Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Cabarete…
Back in 2007 I made my first trip to the Dominican Republic and stayed on Cabarete Beach at a very nice all inclusive resort called Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Cabarete on the north coast of the island.
This hotel resort has 361 feet of private beach where you can relax and soak up the warm Caribbean sun or watch the windsurfing and kite-surfing enthusiasts who come from all over the world just for water sports on Cabarete Beach.
The Viva Wyndham Tangerine is a short walk on the sand to the local shops, restaurants and bars. Cabarete is not just known for the beach activities, after the sun does down Cabarete offers an exciting nightlife with discos and live bands.
The Viva Wyndham Tangerine is a good size complex with over 200 rooms that feature balconies, cable TV, clock radios, coffee makers, desks, hair dryers, daily housekeeping, in room safes, irons and ironing boards, mini bars, sofa beds, and pay movies.
If you don’t want to swim in the Atlantic Ocean there is a huge freshwater pool and a child pool with great views of the beach and sea. There is a tennis court, game room and lively late night discotheque.
The food, drinks, wine and liquor is included in the rate so there’s no additional costs to have a good time during your stay. The three restaurants at the resort are all really excellent. The La Bahia is the main dining room and offers a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. El Mexicano offers a Mexican cuisine for dinner and reservations are required. The third restaurant is called La Vela and has an Italian menu for dinner only.
In addition to the three restaurants Viva Wyndham Tangerine offers 24-hour snacks and room service for breakfast! As I mentioned you can have unlimited drinks at the bar or by the pool. There are all kinds of things to do for kids including water sports, nightly entertainment, Caribbean dance lessons and more.
The hotel staff speaks English and seems to be very helpful. If you want to go on tours in the Dominican Republic the resort has reservation agents at the hotel. If you need a rental car they will assist with that also. Other services they can provide include child care/babysitting services and medical needs. There is a really nice exercise room that is never busy. The hotel has 24 hour front desk service and security.
Whether you are going to Cabarete for vacation or to invest in real estate the Viva Wyndham Tangerine is a good choice for your all inclusive accommodations. There are so many other great places to stay in Cabarete but this is convenient and well priced for all the amenities provided.
